Light and Shadows 1. The Chairs

In town the other day I spotted these chairs and thought they'd make an interesting b&w. I had not done anything with them but today saw the new fortnight b&w challenge about light and shadows - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/23152/new-b-and-w-fortnight-6-light-and-shadows.

This works well as a pattern picture, particularly like the way you have used the rails to strongly encourage the eye to travel left to right, (really hard to try and look at this image right to left). Must try this optical effect myself.

@elaine55 They were just there...on the main street in town just down from the grocery store. I was thinking I'd not have time to take photos so had Jim and our friends do the shopping while I did some quick photos in town. I couldn't believe my luck as the sun was hitting this just right. @elaine55 My advantage -- Jim doesn't think I buy enough food to have 'on hand' (I'm more the 'keep a list and stick to it type' and he's the 'let's see what we feel like so need lots on hand' type).
