For b&w emphasis on line...taken from a small acrobatic plane flown by my brother who promised not to do any aerobatics! We flew east from Colorado Springs toward the Kansas border -- very very very flat -- to see the wind farm. It was fascinating to see row after row of them standing tall with their shadows, but they didn't make that interesting of an image so I went with this closeup instead.
Very interesting image, Taffy, and a great subject from the air, if you are fortunate enough to get the opportunity! The B&W really does emphasise the lines, as you say. It must have been so difficult to decide on a final crop, orientation and rotation of the image. I can imagine myself playing for several hours with the original to explore various options. Yours I cannot fault.
Wonderful "from above" POV... shooting from a plane is so cool, unless the pilot does acrobatics! ;) The lines of the roads and of the shadow are lovely.
They have some huge ones in the mountains of NH and I want to get somewhere I can take a picture. I spotted them from a highway. Must be amazing to see from the air.
I wondered about that because I have seen smaller ones in farms in Canada. Not really small but smaller than the ones in NH. I was trying to find something in the picture for prospective.
It took me a moment to work out what I was looking at. The b& w makes it almost abstract Taffy. Great opportunity to go up in your brother's plane! Good job you can trust him mot to do the loop de loop! Lots of lovely lines!
