Our mentor/critique group is focused for the next two weeks on b&w, this week is using natural lighting and next week, flash and other artificial lights. I had liked this image -- taken last month -- and used this as a motivation to rework it as monochrome/b&w.
Thank you for taking my hay bales/field shot to PP today! It was fun to see it had been on there.

Here's one for this week -- it gave me a reason to go back to this shot, which I've worked with on and off. I did take a few today but didn't like them enough to think worth editing for b&w. Hope this fits the bill for now.
@taffy I love the layers of light giving a very moody feel to the image. The way the light just picks out the boat is perfect! Great shot for the theme. You have given me an idea now - I am going to check out my holiday photos and see if there is anything worth converting!
I like the layers of interest, and how the light really brings your eye to the canoe. He is hidden a bit behind the reeds, and I keep wanting to see more.
Lovely, how the light shines on the canoe and makes it the centerpiece of this otherwise mysterious feeling shot. I like how the POV is almost level with the water.

Gorgeous b&w
