Listening to the news tonight and worrying over those in Paris. Puts my day in perspective as being a minor glitch or annoyance at most.
Not what I'd hoped to post, but it will have to do. My plan was to pair this one (taken 2 days ago) with today's photo of the same tree since I knew we were having high winds. So, photo taken, settings wrong, everything blown out, and I'm missing half the diptych -- but it was too dark to re-take. To make matters worse, I linked a second email account (from work) to my home account to make it easier, and now somehow over 15000 messages have started randomly appearing. AGH! Have deleted 7000 so far, but it's tedious, and now I've likely deleted some I shouldn't have.
Totally relate to your computer problems. They are wonderful machines until they break down. I've rebuilt from scratch three times this past year. Each time you lose a little more. Good luck.
Beautiful shot and such a gorgeous colour. So many terrible things going on in the world at the moment. Makes me think that my problems are a mere fly in the ointment compared to some.
Yes the terrible news puts everything in perspective! Just heard Gatwick Airport is closed and they haven't given a reason! No one is safe any more! What a world we live in! Hope you sort out your computer problems Taffy - so frustrating! Lovely autumn colours in your tree!
Gorgeous colour leaves and I think what happened in Paris yesterday really does put things into perspective. Hope you get your computer sorted quickly so that you can get some sanity back!
We only have to look at the beauty of Nature to know what a gift God gave us. As the expression goes, "How on God's Green Earth" can such barbarians exist to so hideously upset the balance of Nature? It is unforgivable! I hope all of France knows how the majority of the world stand in solidarity with them today.
Love the silhouettes of the empty dark branches against the golden leaves. My heart aches for Paris, too. And I empathize with your other frustrations.
I can get on my work computer from home and check my email that way. I got a call at 7:45 that one of the printers weren't working. Had to walk them through getting it up again. Long distance magic. And when I fully retire what than???? LOL When you are still working you have to stay connected. I bet the emails you are getting is all the old ones. They never really go away you know. Seen that when someone gets a new computer especially in the past. GOOD LUCK You made my day as I have the wrong setting all the time and thought people like you never had that problem.
The seventh circle of e-mail hell... so sorry. You are right, though... pales next to the tragic news from Paris, which I am watching on CNN while chilling in Dallas, waiting to get home. Lovely to have data again, but such a sad day. :( This shot is pretty, standing on its own.
@rosiekerr Your trip seemed to fly by. Glad you are home by now, safe and sound, and filled with great photos to process and post! Thanks for the visits and comments while away.
Oh dear, computers are both a bane and brilliant.
