Walkers Under the Bridge by taffy

Walkers Under the Bridge

Taken along the Chicago River on a photowalk with a friend of a 365 friend -- it was a really beautiful day and unusually warm for November. I took several shots of the reflector under the bridge, with and without people and processed in color and b&w. Posting the two that to me were the most interesting.
Had a remarkably smooth trip to Portland and happily settling into our AirB&B that has great Internet. Family fun starts in the morning!
Thank you all for the wonderful response to my two bird photos -- they both ended up on PP, much to my surprise, which is very motivating for trying something less familiar.

The walkers really give this perspective...so much reflection, almost looks like glass. Wonderful pov and comp....and the lines!

I like the reflection, great choice for black and white.

The black and white with walkers is great too...just like the warmth of the other better

I just love the reflections, strong contrasts, the human scale and the way those lines track precisely to each left side corners. :) Enjoy your day... back to the stove! ;) Fav.

@falcon11 Thanks for the visit, comment, and fav Allison. It's always hard for me to choose whether to include people (usually no) or not. I do think they add something here.

I like the black and white version much more - full of mystery, and the eye is more drawn to the reflections in the smooth surface. The people provide a nice focal point, which, for me, was missing in the other photo.

Beautiful capture.

Oh, this version is stunning. Much more open and live the leading lines and people for a nice narrative approach!

@darylo Thanks Daryl! This was on the walk with Bruce -- his was of course perfectly balanced with the people and shadow exactly right. Ah...to have his eye and talent!
