Inspiration for this came from so many places. First, I've enjoyed the wide range of hearts many have been posting. Second, our mentor groups doing the 52 week theme and this week is 'artistic candy.' Third, ETSOOI-63 starts today. Fourth, I had a few candies left from a box at the holidays, including this white chocolate heart (subjected to 'liquify' but very selectively, using Photoshop) and thought they could be put to good use. And, last but not least, I have been trying to learn something PS can do -- randomly trying different filters and views. Today's was this weird 3D thing that I could not reconstruct at this point.
Processing: liquify the heart, add textures for the background, tweak in LR, export to PS where I somehow created the box, then textures again since there was a blank space around the box, then back to LR, and from there to Picmonkey to create the collage. I am very consciously NOT thinking of the amount of time I spent on this!

I actually ALSO went to the grocery store to buy candy (and fish for dinner) to use in the shot, and as I was reaching out to M&Ms, I stopped myself as I realized I would simply eat them all when I was done! So decided I may not post many shots for candy given my total lack of willpower. Depends on what is already on hand...so this may be it. It was fun doing this so very glad we are doing these themes!
Great to read your process and story. I have been wanting to do a shot for the artistic week too but cannot find inspiration. Perhaps now I have! I was thinking too literally. That is why I love 365 so much.
@taffy WOW! You win hands down in the creativity department! You lost me at liquify- yet alone creating the box! I am so far behind you in the Photoshop editing! You are such an inspiration Taffy as I will now have to find out how you did it! I love our mentoring group as it does drive me on to learn new things and improve! I still have a bag of M&'s to play with. I will find it so hard to resist eating them! Huge Fav for your brilliant processing and hard work in creating this great collage!
Gotta fave this for Effort, quite apart from the impressive photographic merit. There's one heck of a lot of work in this composite image, and it all works so well. I spent ages looking at this shot, quite fascinating. Fav.
This is fascinating - the more you look at it the more you shake your head and think how??? Reminds me of the big timers box hanging from the ceiling at the Razorback basketball game - but ever so much more interesting.
