Andie and I ended our walkabout yesterday at the donut shop down the street from where I had been living over the winter. We actually closed the place down (mid-afternoon) hanging out and talking as we nursed our respective donut and tea. Since this one was my treat, notice in Andie's post -- https://365project.org/ukandie1/365/2017-05-08 -- that she's planning to treat me in the fall which will be our next opportunity for a walk, we think, given our schedules this summer.
Now this is another place I really must visit! Lol! They look delicious! Enjoy the summer Taffy until you can meet up with Andie again - seems such a long time - but I know how busy you are! Fav for making my mouth water!
They look soooooo good!! I used to buy donuts when I was young from a shop opposite where I worked. They had coffee icing and were filled with fresh cream! They were amazing and looked a bit like these ones!
Maple bacon Long John. I am intrigued ..... we only visited America the once as a family . The boys were young and we took them to visit good friends in Texas. They took us out for breakfast to Krispy Kreme. We couldn't believe our eyes to see all those different doughnuts on the counter. I will never forget our boys faces of delight.
"Back in the day" would we ever have guessed that this would be a sought-after flavor for doughnuts?!! And they're decidedly delicious! So glad I'm not a vegan!
And here are the donuts to think about as we wait for the months to go by!
