Terry (@poppoliv) and Rhoda are touring the US and in Chicago for two days while visiting their son, DIL, and grandkids. We had a wonderful visit while on a tour of my favorite building, the Rookery, with it's dramatic spiral staircase and photo ops pretty much everywhere you look. Here's Terry capturing something that we may see in his thread when he catches up. It's so much fun getting to meet fellow 365ers from around the world and it always impresses me how it feels like meeting up with long-standing friends.

@moonmtn It was fun to spend time together, but I was not the tour leader -- we three were on one of the Chicago Architectural Foundation walking tours. This one is my favorite tour.

We are back in Naperville after the Blackhawks game last night. Head is a bit sore. Too much noise, too much beer, not enough sleep. Funny thing is we were sitting around the kitchen last night (actually very early this morning) and Rhoda and I were saying how it seemed as if we had known you for years and then I read this posting this morning and you made the same comment. LOL.
But shit it was bloody freezing walking around Chicago yesterday - well it was for a couple of Brisbaneites anyway.
@888rachel@terryliv He behaved admirably! Perhaps because Rhoda was along too? We had such a good visit -- I wish we would have had more time together!
@terryliv Sorry to have missed you both!! So fun, to find out that you and your wife are actually within 50 miles of us. Sounds as though you enjoyed your (freezing) time in Chicagoland... it just gets worse, by the way. ;)
