Refused to sell?

A shot of some newish buildings in the city centre. I particularly liked the contrast with the little old house in the middle. At some point I must try to make my way over to it to see what it is.

I always find it interesting when one person or family holds out on selling to the "big" guys. I also wonder if they eventually make a killing on the sale or if the 'big' guys don't care anymore because they already built around them.
