This image was taken at our local Sunday market - this stall is always popular... and not just with the kids! (For another scene from the market, see my Doubletakes album posting for today.)
@joansmor There are 7 bins in my photo out of a total of 30 or so on the stall! I initially captured about half of them from the centre of the display so that I only had sweets in the shot. The problem is that the stall holder places scoops and piles of paper bags, regularly spaced, on top of the bins and they broke up the homogenity that I was looking for. I elected to go for a tight crop which loses some variety but also loses the distractions.
@tosee No Tom, I don't have a sweet tooth so I wasn't tempted. I did though spend an awful lot of money at the olive seller's stall - perhaps a pic of those tomorrow!
I love the colors, too. This shot reminds me of the penny candy stores of my childhood, where you could go in, mix and match your choices, and, for a few cents, come out with a bagful of yummy candy. I miss those days.
