We're leaving Amboise tomorrow and I wanted to post a shot of the town: I would have liked to have taken a blue hour shot of the magnificent and imposing château, but unfortunately it's not lit at night. This is a shot of the town taken from l'Ile d'Or (Golden Island) which sits in the middle of the River Loire between Amboise and Nazelles Legron.
The image was taken handheld at ISO3200 and I'm going to hazard a guess that it will be more dramatic viewed on black.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie - I should have used a tripod really and then I could have closed the aperture down to get a nice long shutter speed which would have given the water a silky sheen: but this was grabbed between main-course and dessert at dinner time so I didn't have the time to do a proper set-up.
