This is a double entry for wwyd 123 and for the first project of the new Photoshop 365 group. I found the layer manupulation straightforward but the subsequent image blending and manipulation is very rough and ready... a LOT more work and studying needed here methinks - although doing this with a high-resolution RAW file would have resulted in fewer artifacts.
What is the 365 Photoshop group? Is it on this site or somewhere else? I'm not ready for it -- still working on LR, but might like to "lurk" a bit as PS is the next thing I'm tackling this year.
@vignouse Duh! That tells you how immersed I am in LR at the moment...totally forgot about this thread. I do want to play, but think not yet as I'm still learning LR basics. I'll probably join in again in a few months (weeks, optimistically??). But now I've recorded the thread in my photo resources so I'll find it again when ready, and follow along with the group via tags. Thanks for responding so quickly!
Very attractive edit, but I have no knowledge of PS or LR and therefore no appreciation of the technical side of such a shot but a lovely image anyway!
@radiogirl There are a number of options in PS, but I did it in LR simply by changing the colour balance - I adjusted the top and bottom of the image separately. I could have used the same technique with ACR in PS.
@radiogirl Adobe Camera Raw; it's the best place to start when you begin to edit an image - it's a PS Plug-in, but you can also access it from the Filter menu in PS.
Well, I viewed your edited image like an hour ago but have since been running all over looking for and reading up on what's happening with this PS group. Thanks for the tip on the group. Excellent editing here. Your placing the island off-center gives this image a nice composition.
Its purple, so it caught my eye! Love what you have done to it! The PS group sounds really interesting but I cannot seem to get my head around PS at the moment, so I'll just follow at a distance for now.
Oh great Richard. I've just been reading your comments to @radiogirl and think that may be where I have to start when I get permission to download onto my new system. I found it very challenging so just flirted with it. Maybe your advice to Kathy will help me start again.
@rosiekerr @shepherdmanswife if you follow @sandbox365 you will see any working images as they are posted.

How do you change the color?
