Sunset over Paimpont Lake by vignouse

Sunset over Paimpont Lake

It's all in the title - taken with the Samyang 8mm rectilinear lens which accounts for the slight bow in the horizon... and the leaning tree! This scene said 'moody' as soon as I saw it, so it had to be done in B&W.

Yes, it looks best viewed on black...

Such a strong line from the pier, pointing to that really great light in the clouds. A lovely, wide-angle, composition, made better by black and white.

This is wonderful. You mentioned yesterday that it is interesting the different views that you get from different photographers at the same place. But equally interesting is the different views one photographer can capture of their favorite spots. (and interesting is interesting - thought provoking).

not cozy. Don't know what the temperature might have been, but I feel that I want to curl up in a coat ... or head back home for tea.

Beautiful scene, and a very effective use of the lens. You are making me want to get that Samyang lens....it's actually quite reasonable, but I am afraid it would gather dust alongside my Lensbaby!
