This image was prompted by a comment Joan @joansmor made to yesterday's post 'Sunset over Paimpont Lake'. Joan said: " You mentioned (to me) yesterday that it is interesting the different views that you get from different photographers at the same place. But equally interesting is the different views one photographer can capture of their favorite spots. (and interesting is interesting - thought provoking)."
So challenge on - step back 10 metres from where yesterday's shot was taken... and this is what you get. (Yesterday's jetty is to the right in the middle of the picture... and in colour this time for those who like that kind of thing!)
I didn't mean it as a challenge, I was thinking of many of the pictures I take in my favorite spots searching for a new view. Yesterday's picture seemed removed from things but back up and there are signs of life. LOVE IT>
@essiesue Thanks Sue! How much the view changes when you move is obviously dependent on the focal length of the lens and as I was using an extreme wide-angle here - 8mm rectilinear (12mm equivalent on an APS-C sized sensor) - then that change is, indeed, quite dramatic.
hello Richard! I like this place because I spent my childhood , it's funny I did not site the photo and yet I know every detail. Anyway you know the highlight , congratulations!
I am surprised this one did not get more FAVs.....I am really liking it, especially with those long shadows. So, by stepping further back from the scene with the fisheye you get a more conventional shot?! Love the light here....FAV!
