Japanese Knotweed by vignouse

Japanese Knotweed

As we're in covid-19 lock-down and likely to remain so for the foreseeable future, you're going to end up being as familiar with our house and yard as we are.

This though is new: a week ago the Japanese Knotweed hadn't made an appearance and today it's on average a metre high... so about three more to go! This is the bank in front of the house - the horizon will have disappeared from view in a week's time.

BoB I think...

Late comment - I've just noticed that we were being watched from the clouds!

I am taking advantage of the fact that I can still go for rides and walks and I am getting take out from time to time to support the local business. Because every day it gets a little worse a little tighter, so living for today.

Lovely as always. I like the vertical lines here and the feeling that I'm getting to see the horizon before it disappears.

@carolmw It's insidious, grows at a rate you can almost see and is virtually impossible to kill...and, it can penetrate stone.
