OCOLOY Day 13: Leaving Paimpont at Nightfall

All the streets and roads in Paimpont village are named after characters in the legends of King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table: this is la Rue du Chevalier Ponthus and leads out of Paimpont to the south along the eastern bank of Paimpont Lake.

The image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about this in my post for 1 January and in my profile.
Neat shot...the single car gives adds to the composition

Great leading lines, and the car adds to the shot.

Your pov has me feeling like I'm there! Love the light...such a pretty spiral light post.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but you need to work for the Chamber of Commerce. You have sold me on Paimpont as a destination spot.

Really like your choice of the moment, where the car is positioned

How fortunate we are to live so close to Nature. It adds so much to the backdrop of our lives, transforming the mundane into something we see and feel. Like the winters feel of this.

I always laugh to myself when we have selected similar subjects, I mean my private picture is a long street scene and here you have a similar shot. We have done this a few times. Not that they look anything alike. As Mrs S says yours is more a nature scene and mine is urban. I like this.

Beatuiful trees. Interesting to read the discussion because I was contemplating that what I liked about this scene is that edge of urban/nature -- both are in this shot.

I really like the line of the road and the lighting you captured :) I have been enjoying your pictures very much this year with your new challenge.

Somehow I didn't think that a street in France would look so much like one here in parts of the US. Complete with garbage can. (BTW, today was garbage day here, too).
