All the streets and roads in Paimpont village are named after characters in the legends of King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table: this is la Rue du Chevalier Ponthus and leads out of Paimpont to the south along the eastern bank of Paimpont Lake.

How fortunate we are to live so close to Nature. It adds so much to the backdrop of our lives, transforming the mundane into something we see and feel. Like the winters feel of this.
I always laugh to myself when we have selected similar subjects, I mean my private picture is a long street scene and here you have a similar shot. We have done this a few times. Not that they look anything alike. As Mrs S says yours is more a nature scene and mine is urban. I like this.
Beatuiful trees. Interesting to read the discussion because I was contemplating that what I liked about this scene is that edge of urban/nature -- both are in this shot.
Somehow I didn't think that a street in France would look so much like one here in parts of the US. Complete with garbage can. (BTW, today was garbage day here, too).
