OCOLOY Day 74: Trees, Shadows and Ducks!

Today was another day when the only chance I had to play 365 was when I took Mitzi out for her two daily walks... so once again, today's post is a view of Paimpont Lake. It was the stark contrasts and the three ducks that caught my eye here.

BoB... suprise, surprise!

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
a delightful composition... the eye is wonderfully drawn to those tiny ducks!

The ducks are framed by the trees and Northy's correct. My eyes are drawn to them.

Wen you look at it on black all the long shadows become more significant.

Your composition draws me straight into the ducks on the water - clever

The ducks through the gap are great, as are the long shadows

Perfectly positioned ducks! Nicely seen and captured.

Composition is excellent, as ever, and these soft tones are wonderful

Wonderfully atmospheric. Instant fav.

There are several duck colonies on the shores of Paimpont's lake. It's a delight to see the flotillas doing their respective tours. The colony nearest the sluice numbers 23 and has diminished over the last 2 years due to 2/3 of them being male. Am hoping that this year's broods will redress the balance.

I'd love to be down at #1 pond shooting ducks. Saw one in there before I went in hospital. The contrasts are nice.

The detail with the two horizantal branches framing the ducks in all the vertical lines is just perfect.

Those ducks add a delightful feature.
