OCOLOY Day 75: Peach blossom about to... blossom!

The title says it all: the peach tree by our front door is all set to become a riot of pink blossom... but I quite like it in pale grey!

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
I love the lines of grey behind the buds

Much bemused reading 3 colour words to introduce a B&W photo! BoB!

Very delicate.

@taffy @jasperc Thanks both - I'm finding that in an Ocoloy/sooc project it's very easy to fall into the trap of producing very 'samey' images' so I'm pushing myself to do something different from time to time. This is a bit meh... but it is different!

not sure about this one Richard...bit too pale for my eye...even on black...but then again, i still have a LONG way to go with my photography so maybe i don't know what i'm talking about...lol

It is a bit more than meh, in my opinion. I certainly agree with you on doing something different. If you can't make space for experimentation as you rack up 365 images in a year, what's the point?

@maree_sanderson Hi Maree and thanks for commenting. As I mentioned in a comment above, this is a bit 'meh' but I wanted to try something different as Ocoloy-sooc can get a bit boring. If you saw the colour version (I shoot in Jpeg and Raw but only post the un-retouched Jpegs in this project) you would probably say that the colours are delicate... that doesn't come across in monochrome.

@vignouse ...thanks for your reply Richard...as i said...i have a LOT to learn...totally understand about wanting to do something different...i reckon it would take real discipline to sustain OCOLOY... :o)

Nice high key, I am imagining this same shot once the blossoms bloom and how great this shot will be then!
