OCOLOY Day 80: Where dead trees go...

Normally, when walking in the forest, I stick to the established tracks and trails as otherwise it can be hard work fighting your way through the undergrowth. On this occasion though, I spotted quite a lot of fallen trees some way off and decided to go and have a look. I took quite a few shots from varying PoVs and was later surprised to find how each one has a very different feel. This is the one I have chosen to share with you today.

View on black if you can.

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
I like all the lines created by the trees.

We've lost some good people recently and for me this symbolizes that loss. A good man down, the surrounding trees are prostrate with grief, whilst those who cloak their emotions stand in thought and silent support.

I love this, Richard! So graphic. Definitely best on black, where the strength of the leading lines is clearer
