OCOLOY Day 179: Wild Pink Roses and Bokeh! by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 179: Wild Pink Roses and Bokeh!

I spotted these wild roses growing in the hedgerow whilst out on my evening walk - these are just two of dozens of blooms. There have been quite a few B&W flower images on 365 lately and I really like the way that the monochrome treatment accentuates the form of the blooms without the distraction of colour.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

Definitely pops more when viewed on black...
Simply beautiful!

Beautiful. The B&W really helps focus on the shape and delicacy of the blooms. Fav. Katharine

@domenicododaro Believe it Domenico! It's all about knowing your camera I guess: the X100T lens wide open at f/2.0 and with 'macro' focussing engaged goes very soft producing the dreamy feel that you see here.
