OCOLOY Day 218: E-Mailing by Candlelight

I love this fusion of ancient and modern... this is Mrs S catching up with her mails after dinner in the summer house (which has no electricity).

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

A little click to view on black couldn't do any harm...
Love the mix of technology and candles

The low-key figure is excellently done Richard.

I've never thought of emailing as a romantic pursuit but then what would I know of romance?

@graemestevens You're probably right - at least I hope you are - as she was actually e-mailing her ex-husband as I took this!

Nice light on her face.

Great shot, lighting...I like the light on her hands

Is she typing? or working on a computer which would be more common!

The light is brilliant. Skipping past the romantic historical complexities, but a lovely shot.

The most difficult lighting condition

Ex husband would be bemused by this.

@maggiemae She's using the on-screen keyboard on her iPad - her face and hands are lit by the light from the screen.

@seattlite Thank you Gloria - I too liked the way the light from the iPad screen illuminated her hands.

Great use of light, Richard. Reminds me of a Caravaggio although in a different time and setting, of coourse, Definitely has to be a FAV for me!

My emotional feel led me to hit the like button, before i took on the more technical aspects of this shot. To be honest I rarely get hooked up in the technical, emotion means more to me. So let's just say I love this!

@ukandie1 Now that's a compliment I am more than happy to accept ;-))

I missed this earlier in the week - but I love the contrast of technologies, and the lovely effect of the candlelight in this shot!
