OCOLOY Day 348: Luminous Grasses

These tiny delicate grasses are growing in a disused planter. The minuscule seed heads are no more than 2-3mm in size but I was taken by the way that they seemed to draw the late-afternoon light which made them glow in this image.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

The delicate details are more easily seen when viewed on black.
They are luminous! What a range of lovely soft tones.

They certainly do glow while the image shows off the softness of the X100 lens at 2.0 to good effect.

Nice choice of aperture, you've captured their fragility. Agree about the black.

I'm particularly fond of the way grasses look when photographed. Wonderful shot. Like the little flowers you caught in there as well.
