These ladybirds are invasive, and new to our area. My friend was complaining about them to me this morning, as they were all over her laundry, and washing. I had only seen a couple in our house. Then I went down to the garden shed, and couldn't believe my eyes. There are hundreds of them in clumps all along the roof. The spiders are overwhelmed!
awe :) if I had a invasion of a bug I would most defintly prefer these adorable little ladybugs, I have never heard them be called Ladybirds before. I swear I'm always learning something new with all my fellow 365'ers
Great shot! I saw something similar at the end of last summer here, I read that Harlequin ladybirds gather together to spend the winter inside buildings. You don't see other types of ladybirds because they stay somewhere sheltered in the garden.
