This is a B&W thread - for B&W photography where B&W is the main mode. Selective coloring is OK, Sepia is OK, but the images in this thread should mainly be monotone.
What's your favorite B&W photo from this past week? Share with us what you took this week. Please post only one B&W photo you took. Didn't take a B&W this week? That's OK. Post a B&W from someone else's project that you really fell in love with this week.
Find the B&W you want to share and then copy and paste the code into a reply. You'll find the code below the Facebook and Twitter buttons on the right hand column of that photo.
After taking a ton of B&W earlier in the month, I didn't process any last week, so I'll highlight one that I faved this week by Jenn @aikiuser
and I know we're only supposed to post one shot, but I have to post one from another 365 user, because I didn't post it on the favorite fav... this one from Sean @seanoneill was amazeballs and made me think of a cross between a Michael Elliott and an Ansel Adams:
I didn't have one of my own this week, but I really liked the spacing, the angles, and the excitement captured in this one by @traceywhickerphotography
This is my photo from today. Mostly B&W.... it's my entry for the Me March (What I wish). My wish is to become a mother, it has been my wish for 13 years... so the photo represents a lot of emotions for me. Although I'm not sure they show in the photo, they are there.
This was a selfie for a get pushed challenge about illustrating a quote. I was meaning to just use a photo of my eye, but when I saw how the shadow fell I decided to use the whole thing! Not a "pretty" photo, but I really like it
I didn't take a B&W this week. But I LOVED this one from @russianblue
Honestly it is such a super cute/hilarious shot! Click on it to appreciate the fun description and to get some giggles :)
'Just Grate!!!'
This is my last photo of Flash of Red February Challenge. And boy, it was a challenge. The theme being to have a Mono photo for every day in February, except the 14th, where we had to have a flash of red, which in turn stood out in our calendar view. I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the 14th, but the rest of the month was quite challenging. So my last photo was a play on the word great (Grate)...because the challenge was 'Just Great'...as its a cheese grater...get it???
Toss-up between this and the shot I took at the One Direction concert. Went for this one purely 'cos of the sneakiness involved!
I might try and take more... just to practice....
I love that everyone is loving their moon shots -- this was a good week for moons!
Hooked... My comment on addiction
After days of rain and another flood in our town cabin fever had become a problem. I set her loose in the puddles in the back yard for reprieve.
from Emmy Walder - love how his stripes add to the patterns of the wood. Perfect for b&w
had a week of B&W and this was my favourite of them all
A sad day for us, and a very sad little boy.
Honestly it is such a super cute/hilarious shot! Click on it to appreciate the fun description and to get some giggles :)
I have been taking older pics that I have and applying new processing. Here's a very low key edit:
I like this one because it is a new perspective and I envisioned it in B&W and it turned out similar to what I wanted.
