I've taken many photos of the Black-Crowned Night Herons in Port Aransas, TX, but this one is my very favorite. I was close enough to get good detail in his feathers, and, even though it's a bit blown out, I love all the bokeh.
I have to say this one if my favourite for the week. I don't do portraits as I don;t have the gear for it. But this one was a fluke. My daughter was standing in front of the fan cooling herself off, I quickly got out my camera, called her name and got the shot. This is definitely my favourite :-)
It was between this and another one, but I think this one is my best shot of the week. I love how cold the water looks! The pieces of ice came out just as I wanted them too!

I'm actually really proud of this shot. Especially cool because it was one of those shots where I saw it, figured out what it was I liked (the angles radiating out), and had the presence to frame the shot exactly as I wanted it, compose, and the technical skill to get the exposure right. You know, that doesn't always happen. And when it does, I feel like I have really accomplished something.
Has to be my Karat, Carat, Carrot shot because my sis faved it and shared it as a favorite fav! I not only love her to death, but also respect her photographic skills, so if she says it's good, then it must be good!
I liked Tuesday and Wednesday both, but the lighting in Tuesdays just worked so perfectly, and it was just the lamp next to the box, so I think it's my favorite.
The old torpedo testing station - an interesting place to spend some time on Friday
This one because it means a lot, I learnt a lot taking the picture and I had some wonderfully supportive comments on it which encourage me no end :)
just a rare nice picture of me
I guess my favourite is this one simply because I love my daughter and my dog!

Today's picture from my walk at Ickwoth Park
Pleased to have tried a Photoshop technic.
I love the details that you get from the macro lens.
I liked the effect when not photographing the whole trees.
This made me smile even as I was taking the shot....
It was just unexpected to find these eagles. An answer to prayer.
