We had few entries on this contest, but the ones that where entered were quite nice. Everyone got the gist of it very well. I really like grabbing details from well designed sports cars and vintage cars and trucks. I hope everyone that submitted photos looks at transportation vehicles differently from now on. 1. Tim Erskine @timerskine submitted an old model T wheel. It looks as if the ride wouldn’t be too comfortable on this, but it sure makes for a great detail photo!
2. Kathy A @kjarn brought our attention to the details of her car where the reflector meets the body of the car. I like the subtle line that shoots off to the left in the frame of her image. The contrast of the red against the white is quite dynamic.
3. Hope Jennings @mzzhope must have seen this wonderful minimal and abstract image in her rear window, as that is the title of her photo. The movement and the simplicity of this makes it wonderful to observe: maybe try to figure out what it is, or just enjoy colors and composition.
4. Wendy @Farmreporter found this wonderful Rolls Royce hood ornament. A classy car needs a classy mascot to accompany it on its travels. Wendy included a link to the interesting history of this sculpture on the expended version of this photo. This close up of The Flying Lady answers the minimal challenge quite nicely.
