This April I am revisiting shots I took in my first month here on 365 mainly to see how my composition and ‘auto’ skills have changed. I have put a hyperlink to the original photo here and if you have time you can have a quick peek.
St Faith's is part Saxon, Norman and Victorian restoration and is built on Roman foundations! It's in the town centre and appears to have an active congregation and every November 11th its walls and memorial cross are covered in poppies.
My get-pushed this week is black and white architecture.
@francoise Hi, I don't live near high-rise buildings (which is what Google gave advice on photographing) so have adapted the tips I got to get the oldest building in the town. Hope SC affect ok, it was so dull otherwise as, per usual, on my day off it was dull and raining!!
@s4sayer Dr Who (who returns next weekend whoop whoop!!) used a TARDIS disguised as a blue police box!! But yes the contrast between old and new worked and was a fluke (a common theme in my photographs- flukes!)
Hi -- I like the selective color (except perhaps on the clock). I used to watch Dr. Who too... just haven't for a while. I think what I like best about this picture is the angle. of the building in the photo frame
They are both interesting. I like the first because of the inclusion of the telephone box with all its reflections, but I really like the angle and sc of this one - so, once again, on the fence!!
@joysabin :)
@gerry13 thank you
