The Vyne in Basingstoke is having its roof replaced and the National Trust have kept the house open with opportunity to go up the scaffolding (in a lift!) to look down on the tall chimneys and the rooftop which is crawling with workmen.
I really hoped to get a faceless portrait of an artisan at work and was so pleased with this. He has his coat in the background, his tools on a belt, in hand and next to him. The green of the wood surprised me and the scale of the project is phenominal!! I hope the addition of the frame adds to the portrait effect?
@overalvandaan I got so many funny looks as I was taking photos of the tops or backs of the workmen. Thanks you for this challenge, I may have a go at a selfie one if I get time!!! @jmdspeedy thanks Ann for a lovely day
