Popped into the Priory Church of St Mary and St Blaise in tf Boxgrove today. The Domesday book of 1086 shows that a church existed here even before the Norman Conquest, nothing remains of that Anglo-Saxon church but the present building dates from the early twelfth century.
The painted ceiiling is jaw-droppingly magnificent, the carvings on the pillars stunning and the aisle has a small tiled, mediaeval style maze.
