I polished the spoons, I used the tripod (yep I honestly did!) , small apperture (So alien to me!) and only a dozen shots (I think boredom was setting in!) .
I don't have the know how to make my spoons look spotless and unused like Vikki's using Ribbet etc..
Anyway this is for my get pushed to do a high contrast black and white (cheating as I used black and white card making paper- who cares!), January words paper and exercise (in patience!) oh and I've managed to unwittingly write a six word title,
Three good things?
Made a batch of lentil, bacon and tomato soup- delosh!
Got 5 people from camera club started on teh Dogwood weekly challenge thingy
Purrs from The Lodger when I got home
I love it, brilliantly done. I bought new spoons when I did a spoon reflection shot because my spoons are scratched and ancient. I went to Kmart and bought four spoons for $4. No expense spared on 365 you know. Bugger the expense, ha ha.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - see the perfect white at the bottom of the pic? you clone that in on the white spots on the spoon. use airbrush on the dark portions and voilà ! no secret really. ☺
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Ahh - I hadn't realised that a comment made on the darkroom site didn't show up as individual name tags. Dual sites and ual facebook sites is taking a bit of getting used to.... :)
well bless my soul! I thought this WAS Vikki's photo until I read your narrative! I take ussue with your last tag too! I think you have done a magnificent job.
You just need to learn how to clone or paint out the blemishes and I think you are definitely smart enough to do that if you want
This is really well done Jackie. I like the composition and your creativity. It is so well balanced. As Summerfield @summerfield said, just clone some of the perfect spots on the scratched parts. And if you tweak in pp the the midtones down and the lights up, you will get more contrast and some of the marks on the spoons just vanish. As you are "ace" you could do that in Picmonkey. But this is just details, overall this is very well done. I like it. Fav.
Of course we are in the deep freeze so I wanted my camera club friend to have something she could do inside. So I should her refractions which we played with yesterday and then I showed her pictures of spoons like this and the forks with eggs balanced on them. All things that will keep her busy for the next two weeks. I tried this and it takes time to get such a good shot.
