Highly Sprung

There is a patch of ferns looking like triffids ready to pounce at the arboretum. I spent far too long getting shots.

I practised a new composition technique today Four Corners learnt a lot!!!

Jackie, as others have said, this is stunning. FAV
As to a challenge for you, I’ve been looking through the pictures you tagged as your get pushed responses. I haven’t gone all the way back, but I’d like to give you a challenge I’ve given others. (Let me know if I’ve already given it to you! If so, I’ll think of another.)

The challenge is to make a picture that the 10 year old you would have made. I’m not asking you to forget everything you’ve learned about photography, but think back to what you might have wanted to photograph and how. Try to capture some of that child’s enthusiasm for the subject. How does that sound?

This composition is very nice. The stem leads the eye right through the photo. The details and color are also very nice.

This is the best time to photograph the Fiddle Head Fern- they're pretty but not as interesting when they open up. Excellent close-up and congrats on the PP!
