I don’t know what they are called, but they are really pretty. I like them in B&W also because they have all those delicate filaments that are all spread out.
Lovely picture. I do not want to spoil your idea of having cornflowers in the garden, but this is a Nigella damascena (love-in-a-mist). The cornflower is from a different typ of plant family: Centaurea cyanus (cornflower). The cornflower is also often confound with Common chicory. So there are 3 very similar and beautful blue flowers. Keep my fingers crossed that some of them grow in your garden soon.
@lanikyea The seeds never take in my garden! @joansmor her garden is full of them @mittens thank you @mona65 How do you know so much stuff Mona?? Thanks for correcting me so nicely- it is of course a Love-in the Mist - but I'm not changing title as your comment then won't make sense if anyone else reads it. @shannejw its a pretty flower though!! @koalagardens especially en-masse @momamo i did feel a bit silly crouching in her garden getting this @phil_sandford thank you @will_wooderson good idea Will why wait for seeds to grow when I just nip down and pick a few!! Why didn't I think of that? @365anne I'm afraid I nicked your idea!! @shutterbug49 they look spiky close up, but soft from a distance @gillian1912 thanks Gillian @caterina v kind thank you @ludwigsdiana thanks Diana,
My neighbors are really good at growing plants too! They and my dad have all the green thumbs. At least you have some great photo skills though, love that you captured the color so well and the angled shot. :)
