Mr Gormley Again

Another trip to Winchester Cathedral, and we were told the crypt was flooded, locked and out of bounds. Tom said he'd unlock the door to show us how deep the water was, and a couple of guides wanted to join us. The water level had in fact fallen about a foot, so the very nice Tom let us go down into the crypt, but not to pass the bottom step, which was dry.

The statue had been up to his groin in flood water, the wall to the right of him shows how much it had fallen.
Just compared all three if your images - fascinating to see the difference in water levels.

That's an excellent image - the architecture, the reflections - and then that wonderful statue stranded in the flood waters. So good.

Poor bloke, bet that’s chilly! So many great things in this image though. Can you tell me how to do the calendar view thingy to make the final image for FOR please?

@365anne hi Anne. I do a screen shot, crop and save in pictures. I use PhotoscapeX to insert the words. on a tablet Snapseed can do it. Both are free, but you may have an editting program already??

The circumstances are unfortunate but the resulting image is very worthy.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond -- It's so fun when luck works out, but I bet you had a feel for the scene already.
