Imitation is the penultimate theme for the 52 week challenge, and I always admire Wendy's @wendyfrost beautiful floral compositions and her use of props. The photos Wendy makes are wonderfully minimalist, sharply focused, never whimsical often poignant.
Using some props that have meaning to me, I've had a go at imitating Wendy's style, not quite hit the mark I fear!!
@will_wooderson I think it's a burr with oak mushrooms added ( almost certainly found at a knicky knacky noo shop or craft fair ) @casablanca thank you so much C @wakelys nicked the rose from her garden this morning, @monikozi many thanks
@30pics4jackiesdiamond@casablanca. Oh Thank you both very much for your kind accolade I am blushing now. A great capture and composition Jackie and love your mushrooms.
If I was doing this I would turn the mushroom slightly left to bring the big mushroom forward put the candle on the left in the slight bend of the wood and put the rose between the two and slightly in front of the candle put the stem wherever it looks best over or under the wood. I do tend to play around a bit and take many photos to see what looks best and some below some above and different angles I usually pick out the outstanding one straight away. Good Luck and once again Thank you.
@wendyfrost hi Wendy Thank you for taking time to comment. I enjoyed channelling my inner Wendy, and you make it look so easy and effortless, which it certainly isn't!!
