War Graves

War Commission Graves at Royal Victoria Park, the site of Netley Military Hospital which was demolished in 1980s following a fire

So many young lads, most so far from home, interred in this peaceful setting.
It sure pulls at the heartstrings, wonderful capture and light.

Beautiful light, and it looks like it was a wonderful day for such a sad photo subject.

Wandering in graveyards and reading the inscriptions on stones often makes me think how grateful I should be for the life I've had the opportunity to live.

I love the way they are always so neat in rows in military cemeteries. As if great care was taken even to the last.
