You knew I couldn't let it go, didn't you? The subject came up the other day, so I wanted to show you where I work.
I'm in an area called The Grove in Mile Square Park, and I had to be careful not to step back while photographing one squirrel, so as not to trip over another! I brought a second camera so my "human tripod" (so named by Craig Paterson, cleverly, I thought) could capture me with my models.
You all were amazing, sharing your comments a couple days ago, and it was great fun sharing "squirrel cult" photos. Here's one more Allison Williams left for me at the bottom of the page after most of you had left. http://is.gd/b5Kvo I may be off the deep end, but I'm not alone! Thank you for sharing in the fun, and you've been kinder than I deserve...
Love the nail polish! And great to see the context of the squirrel passion (obsession?). Looks warm and bright....today we have snow, rain and it is just COLD. You picture brings in the sunshine.
Oh Louise, I love this one, most especially because you are in it!
But I also love that you captured the two of them.
You know, pretty soon, they'll be calling you by name and stopping by for tea!
I just ADORE your squirrels! Please keep them coming!
And thank you so very much for all of your supportive and encouraging comments. I just want you to know that they are helping to keep me going! ;-)
I can see it now------Louise comes to the park and the kids start yelling "here comes the squirrel lady"! Two squirrels this time---------careful, they multiply while you blink! Great photo, love the perspective :o)
Great shot Squirrel Lady...I mean Louise...lol. You might want to think about doing a Squirrel calendar and I'm being serious. Your photos are wonderful!
Ah, yes, "I have lost many friends to the squirrels.". Too funny, Louise, and the comments from our compatriots above are a stitch. Thanks for bringing out the best in all of us. :-)
not kinder than you deserve! you my friend, are the absolute best. your comments bring a huge smile to my face every single day. i just adore you. and your photos just keep getting better... love them, and you!
oh this is just swell :) What a cute little fella, and it is quite the studio you've got there :) Thank you so much for your comment, happy easter to you too :)
Love going behind the scenes! I can't believe you are able to get this close. Maybe it's just because I have the dog, but the squirrels around here don't like to pose for shots! It's been so much fun seeing all of your squirrelly ways. Keep them coming. :)
you lucky duck! :) I love squirrel pictures. This is soo neat! Look how close you can get to them! The only squirrel I've ever been this close to is Charlie :) hehe
Thanks for the kind comments Louise! I got a Canon 60mm EF-S Macro lens, just starting to figure it out, and loving it. smile. Great shot here too. Love the concentration you and the squirrel have. smile.
But I also love that you captured the two of them.
