To each of you on 365 who has shared a beautiful butterfly photo, I extend my newfound appreciation for your ability! In our first port, we took a cab for an island tour (the island being half Dutch, half French) and requested a stop at this butterfly garden. Smugly, I thought I'd be able to get numerous "perfect" pictures, but there's action in flight, shadows and bright light, and even with so many opportunities within this space, I was challenged. Here's my favorite of the day...I learned a lot ("Humility" amongst the lessons)!
Before returning to the ship, we stopped for a frozen Guavaberry Rum Slush, a tropical taste treat that I can highly recommend!
The Rum slush sounds spectacular. Your butterfly photo turned out beautiful. As always, so nice to see you posting Louise. I'm sure you're having a nice time in your travels. Enjoy!
@chevymom You were formost in my mind at this butterfly farm! I delighted in seeing a number of Monarch butterflies, catepillars and crysilis as well...such fun to see them firt hand after all I learned from you and your site last year! Best wishes with this year's crop!
It's gorgeous!! Wow, do I love the milkweed that it's sitting on too. What a lovely addition to my garden that would make. Thank you so much for mentioning me so I could see this pic. So far behind as always. I can't wait until my first egg hatches!
Beautiful! I've never taken a butterfly photo before but now you have me intrigued. Also I've decided that I need to travel more someday! I love living vicariously through your photos!
