The Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra by Weezilou

The Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra

Last night we were treated to a brilliant performance by this orchestra in St John's Anglican Church http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-05-29 Most of them are still in high school. They met as a group for 10 days and learned the pieces they performed over 2 and a half hours. My favorite followed intermission... Symphony no. 7 in A Major, Op 92... it filled that entire time slot. I marvel at what these young people accomplished! And I marvel at the cultural variety and quantity of music we're offered here every summer.
Awesome shot

I LOVE the churches in Lunenburg. A friend and I visited most of them one day in 2006 and were given guided tours in some. First time I ever heard of people of years gone by - buying their pew! I guess it was common at the time.

That is so great that there are so many concerts in Lunenberg over the summer. I love classical music, it must have been great to hear :)
I also really like the ceiling in the beautiful blue colour - with the little stars on them, so gorgeous :)
