When I picked up Ashton at school today, I saw tons of the chrysalises hanging from the roof, playground slide, and even a tricycle. They are all very close to having Monarch butterflies emerge from them. It is very cool to look at them and see the butterfly wings inside. I also learned that the caterpillars eat the milkweed plant, so if I want some butterflies in my backyard, I need to go buy one of these.
When we got in to the car and I was talking about them, Ashton happily chimed in and excitedly said, "Yeah, the caterpillars turn into..into..into (he was thinking hard at this point), um, they turn into racoons, and then they become butterflies!"
Cute, care those little raccoons don't have rabies. I think you could get the table cloth thru The Country Store Catalog. I got mine at a store in Middlebury, VT but I know I've seen them in catalogs which means they are on line somewhere.
Oh, Louise, that's absolutely adorable! Conversations with three year olds are simply wonderful. Ashton is such a little bright eyed cutie!! I'm certain that both of your little guys just rock your world! There's nothing like being a grandmother. :)
