Actually, I see I did, some while ago... http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-06-16
I'm currently trying to match my photos to the "Local Wonders" challenge,, but with so much to choose from around town, I hadn't thought to look in my own back yard.
I was walking from the car to the back door, and noticed all the beautiful fallen leaves, the neighbour's wooden fence in a state of decay and the plants that have been spent after a glorious summer. Without thinking what I was going after, I took this picture and knew I'd found "The One"... I personally love this...can envision it hanging in a lodge somewhere... (IMHO...haha)
Yes, it would look wonderful on a wall. As I looked at your other posting that you referenced to, I couldn't help but scroll down the list of those who had commented on that posting and thought about all those old time names, so many that have moved on and we do not hear from anymore. I too often wonder about Sarah Connors, I believe that was her name.
@digitalrn Yes, Sarah Conners in Australia...it concerned me that she didn't seem to want to see to the situation right away. Barb Kilburn in Vancouver was another case. I had her email, wrote, and never heard back. Like you, those names on the list do evoke strong memories of friendship and bonding...thanks for sharing those thoughts with me..
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my photos! I've been a bit too busy to keep up the project and will just continue to check in from time to time. Just wanted you to know that I appreciate your visits!
@loey5150 Welcome Home! It must be the end of your day there! (I'm just getting started!) I've missed you and thought of you often. We had (and are still having!) an amazing time in Lunenburg. Billy & David will be home next week from 2 mo away in Italy. We have a new "summer visitor" cat...he's every bit as photogenic as Dill (go back to last month to meet Fred...) How's Lynda? Tell her we said Hi... Hi to Bernie, too, and a big hug for you! xo
@loey5150 I just told Ken I was writing you and he asked if you were affected by the fires...how dreadful to hear about them...and in those beautiful Blue Mountains...we were so sorry to hear...
