I mentioned that she's (obviously) nursing babies somewhere nearby, so imagine my joy to find more mommies in our backyard maternity ward! She sits SO still...and I don't want to worry or disturb her. We're going to be away for a couple of weeks...I don't know when the eggs will hatch and how long the babies will stay around. I'm hoping for at least one of little faces peering over the edge when we return!
@allie912 The hummingbirds we have around here are called "Anna's Hummingbirds"... We've enjoyed them for years in our yard, and this time of year, I can sit in the yard awhile and they always "give away" the location of a nest...then I just go look til I find it!
Brilliant shot, Louise. We had fun watching our little hummingbird Mommy and babies just outside our window last year -- posted several shots -- so enjoy it all. Delightful!
