As a community, you've been so amazing, sharing your photo talent and friendship as well as your willingness to share tips and techniques. When I thought I finally had a handle on the basics of using manual, I stopped changing the settings, but many photos fell short of what I tried to capture. When I asked Steve how he accomplished some beautfiul closeups, he was kind enough to send simple instructions that worked perfectly when I went right out to try them! Under most circumstances I would never have photographed this, but I think, as a practice piece, it comes close to capturing what I was striving for. Thanks, Steve, for the help, and to everyone who has shared so generously here!
@taffy Thank you Taffy...how lovely to hear that from "the head of the class"; Steve & I both thank you! With good direction, a few photos of 5-6 "plants" led me to understand the concept and I'll be unstoppable now..haha! (You're also one who generously shares tips & techniques here...I was thinking of you also when I wrote that above.)
