Awww, Pinkie... Every time we've packed for "The Big Transition" over the years I've found a cat curled up in the suitcase! Miss Kitty Pink perhaps thought we 'd see her as another carry-on... Nice try! She's going to have a fabulous summer with Tracy who absolutely adores her! She'll get all the tummy rubs she can ask for! (Send us pictures...Love and Kisses, Mom & Dad!)
No, they never like to be left behind, but they do adjust eventually! She is gorgeous, and I would like to know how a black kitty got the name Pink! Was it her nose?! :-))
Safe travels....looking forward to your photos!
Louise, have a mindboggling awesome summer in Lunenburg. This scene looks like us, except that we've packed the RV instead of suitcases, and Bradley is going with us.... We are heading out tomorrow for Alberta, planning to meet up with several other 365ers along the way up and back. ( I won't be posting while we are away, but I'll be back and catch up on it when we return about Labor Day. It will be a real job, but I'll get it done, eventually.....) Linda is meeting us in Calgary for a week the end of July when she also competes in their annual half ironman on July 27.
Love how you caught the kitty eyeing the luggage as if she knows what's happening. Our pets are more insightful than we think at times. Enjoy your travels.
Awe... this one tugs at the heart, knowing your kitty will be missing you while you're away. While I was visiting my parents in CO, my mom's cat chose to sleep on my suitcase every chance she got. I'm quite sure it wasn't because she wanted to come home with me; her life in the mountains is much too exciting to ever want to leave. Wishing you safe travels.
Thanks for the comments shared on my pictures in my absence. You're a sweetie!
You're off to NS!? Have fun - looks like we might make it out the first week in September. Will email you when I have more info - would love to meet! ;)
@pamknowler@ceilidh We spend summer & fall in Nova Scotia, so my subject matter changes significantly!
@lebrouillac You have a "Miss P Black Cat", too? As in "Pink"? "On the roof...cooling down" must mean south of the equator this time of year!
and @panthora "Pink" is a literary name :) Check out "Pinkle Purr" by A.A. Milne (as in Winnie the Pooh!) It's been a favorite poem of mine since I was about six and I've had both a Tat and a Pink... You'll LOVE the poem! (I think I know that muh about you already!)
@stray_shooter I never thought to ask what you do for "kitty sitting"... Tracy "duel-parents" with us and I know all are well loved and cared for. So you get to stay home for awhile? I look forward to seeing the rest of your amazing golf-vacation photos! @aglennc I wonder if you'll receive this... Safe travels...I'll email later or send a note to you via Linda! Have a great time! @kass I am so looking forward to a visit! I've lost all track of whom I've spoken with since heading out, but I'll send you an email addy and we'll keep in touch! I wish, long ago, I'd set up a guest book for us in Lunenburg. I thought we'd never see anyone again, and we've had more visitors there then all out years in California! And lots of 365ers as well! Can't wait to add you (two?) to the list!
@Weezilou I have two couples who battle each other to care for Charmin when I'm gone. Both right in the neighborhood, so she's well cared for. Yes, I am now home for the rest of the month and all of July (except for a four day weekend/motorcycle ride to Napa this weekend - that's still "not traveling" to me!) Hope all is well with you and my relatives in Nova Scotia!
