That's my little white baby monitor I brought along, so at 2:33, I was awakened by the noise... I was so sound asleep I wondered how badly I really wanted to see a raccoon at that hour, but my camera was at the ready by the kitchen window, and, call me dedicated...I'd have my photo for the day before getting up in the morning! In actuality, the night before, there were two juveniles that I didn't photograph and someone cleaned the plate I set out on Night One...so I hope you like raccoon's...they're the "New Squirrel" for the season!
(As the troops get used to me again, the photos should start to improve...not into artistry when I'm still fighting jet lag!)
Now that is the essence of hand in the cookie jar. I recall often being awakened in the middle of the night as a child when the racoons would invade the garbage cans in the back of the house.
Welcome back around Tabitha! That little gal is the mother to a brood that visited a year or two ago...I buy cat food & dog-treat bones + whatever table scraps we have (now that I know who to expect each evening!) They're such fun to watch!
