When I woke, Ken said he was going to the park to see who was doing the tree trimming as we need some work done, post Hurricane Andrew. It wasn't until 10:30 that we saw a truck in the park with a pull-rope... I got my camera, only in time to see the entire tree falling to the ground! (Yes, that was their plan!) In that instant, look at the view we got! In late fall we see much of that through bare branches, but this is *amazing*! That's the golf course across the way and the road where everyone stops to take photos of the waterfront! We'll now see the boats in the harbour, and the iconic colours of the businesses on King street.
As I looked for a before photo this evening, I was a bit surprised I didn't have anything until back on July 2! From the front of our house, the huge tree wasn't much to inspire me., but oh boy! look at that view now!
@allie912 I'll have to tell Ken you said that! We were standing there slack-jawed for the briefest moment before giving it a resounding "thumbs up"! and saying "WOW" a lot!
I couldn't help but wonder why the tree was cut down, but upon closer inspection, it appears there are a number of dead areas in the now-felled tree so there appears to be a sound reason for cutting it down. You definitely benefitted from the decision!! Oh wow, what a view you now have. Yea! for you.
