Our friends, Harry & M'ellen invited us to their Halifax home for dinner and a sleep-over and treated us to this amazing lobster dinner! It's a treat that is not in our California budget, but people up here can enjoy lobster for much of the summer. (Even McDonalds offers a lobster-roll sandwich!) It was a wonderful evening with plenty of time to visit and catch-up.
And the best part about a sleep-over is that you can gather around the coffeepot in the morning and make plans to spend another day together.
What FUN... Yes, lobster just isn't on the menu for us here, but we did enjoy it when in Nova Scotia..... even Maine. (John learned how to "crack and eat' them in Peggy's Cove.... I didn't have the patience.... and ordered something else.)
Oh yes please. My first husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the island of Crete. We went fishing of the rocks and the local fish restaurant cooked our catch for us. We went back on our anniversary day and had a wonderful lobster supper! Your photograph takes me back
Great shot of what we call :`` een feestmaal`` ( = feast - banquet.)
We do have lobsters here to , but very expensive . ( at least for me)
Frozen ones from Canada are not that much . But to tell the true : I`ve try them and found : It`s a lot of work for less flesh.
