I thought my big "Alice Event" was over until we found "toys in the attic" (which was an un-posted photo!) Ken found the mouse and we knew we had another story photo. My tableau is a bit "opposite " of the story in that the Cheshire cat wasn't in attendance at the Tea Party. However, spotted him and just had to use him... Another opposite...Alice is a "real doll" and in a dream world with products of her imagination... "Cat" and "Mouse" are opposites & they sit opposite Alice as time ticks away... I'm not very literal, I suppose...
...one shoe off...one shoe on... But that's a different nursery rhyme!
By photographing Alice from behind, I avoided the "creepy eyes"... Personally, I think I like this image more than the first, but now I have a pair to print, frame and send to Tina for a belated birthday gift... (Love, Mommers)
What a wonderful array of photo props you have. I lurrrve your teapot and do you have a collection of those?
Both your depictions of Alice stories are lovely for a gift.
@bkbinthecity@ethelperry I have a lot of vintage dishes and the like...much that I bought on ebay years ago. This came from there along with the sugar & creamer... I get caught up in the moment...I don't even drink tea! The watch faces were a wonderful find...I've used them again and again as props and in collages... (The pocket watch came from Ken's grandmother).
@stray_shooter Thanks, Ron. I've never looked at all the settings together until this shutter-speed project...of course they suggested auto for ISO & WB... At ant rate, it's eye-opening... I envy you your classes!
