Today things began to return to "normal"... We're home alone now, and instead of days with over 1000 photos, I took 27...none very exciting... I did get fresh flowers for my new vase, but am ambivalent about my photos. I tried dressing it up with some textures, but they're a bit of a bust, too. I'm not deterred... I still like the process and will continue on... After two weeks of trying to select "just three photos" for my albums, today "I tried to find one"...
Thanks for all the time you spent visiting my vacation photos; I loved hearing from everyone! I'm busy this weekend, but will have more time again after Monday... ♥
@brigette Thank you Bridgette... "They" say you never know how it'll turn out as it's all random, but it's great fun! I'm keeping after it...I love the "play time"!
@nicknac Thanks, Nick! I thought to throw together some items that defined aspects of the trip... a work in progress... Thanks for traveling with me...I really enjoyed knowing I was able to share the beauty with you and so many others!
Great effect! It's amazing how some days you have more photos than you need, then other days it's hard to find one :) i think it's a world wide problem!
@thirdjoe Let me know too, please.... If in SD, we'll drive down and meet everyone...... We had such fun with Ron, Louise and Ken and Joy at SJC Mission recently...... Louise, @weezilou keep us posted,
Really like all the textures in this Louise. Welcome home. Must seem pretty quiet, just the two of you ..... Well, and Frosty. (How's the back yard coming?)
Welcome home. Louise! You are still in Island Mode as far as photography is concerned...where everything and every view is breathtaking, colorful and exotic.
Let me reassure you that this photo is absolutely delightful with its beautiful pastel colors and marvelous composition. Well done!
You've got me wanting to go get some gerbera daisies today. ☺
Welcome back home. Some days the camera, or more exactly the eye doesn't work the way you want it to but having said that I do like the subtle colours and textures of this shot
I like the texture and the colors. Maybe it's hard to adjust to having what is "around" rather than things that are "different" and feel more special? I can't imagine how you deal with many days of 1000 photos! Wow! I took 575 at church last night and I think I am blind today! :-)
@danette Well, if you're shooting RAW, then that's about the number I was getting in actuality. You end up with two shots per photo... THEN...when I shot HDR, I got 3 bracketed shots, two of each... So, I will confess to you that the numbers were more like 1500-1700 per day... My daughter was aghast! (Ken's all but given up on me!) (This weekend Shutterfly is offering free cards, so I'm still in Maui mode as I make them...)
@summerfield Let's get this right... I *DON'T* come back to "snow-laden" Nova Scotia... I return after the thaw...like about August! (J/K...mid-June we leave here...)
