We'll make a point on asking how long we can get them from the pound! Last night Ken and I were prepared to each have one and share a second one, but mine weighed at least 2# and I couldn't eat another bite! Best part of that equation is that we're having lobster salad tonight!
...and to think that there was a day when you were looked down upon as being "poor" if you had to eat lobster around here!!! Good grief! I could have lived with the humiliation! @summerfield you, too, Vikki!
This may be bad to admit. But you can keep the lobster. Not my favorite thing. Never order it out. Though I make a pretty good lobster risotto that I used to make for my dh.
Yes, I am with Joan @joansmor on the lobster.....maybe I just never had one properly prepared, even though the ones in Puerto Nuevo were pretty decent. Now, if you had some crab, especially soft shell ones, and some crabcakes, well, that's a different story!!
@panthora@joansmor Well, Osia, if you didn't like it at Puerto Nuevo, there's probably no hope for you! Now, our friend Billy's family used to own a popular seafood restaurant years ago in Baltimore, and he grew up in the kitchen. His specialty is crab cakes and Ken loves those far more than lobster as well! I can't say why, but I'm not a big fan of crab, but I could eat lobster all day long! Could be it's all that drawn butter! And Joan, the huge bowls full of mussels are loved by all my friends up here! I'd rather have just a few mixed into a good, well-made seafood chowder (which we get at The Seaside Shanty in Chester Basin, north of Lunenburg...in case you're over this way! It's well-worth the trip!
Did God Made them ? Did he have time for it after creating an universe ? Then I want one.
