We appreciated so much what the paramedics did for our friend, Avis, I made a couple batches of pralines and we took them to the fire station this afternoon. The man answering the door had been to the house last night and we were able to give him an update. His response was, "That was the real deal..." Since, standing there with two little boys, it was obvious we were hoping for a tour, and we had a nice one! Since they were little, I've been taking their photos with fire engines from Hawaii to Lunenburg, and it's becoming a nice collection.
And oh my! the "babies" certainly are growing fast!
How adorable are they?! And what a wonderful story and update. You are a thoughtful friend Lousie. I'll keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers... :)
@danette LIke the ladies who knit caps for newborns, I'd love to be able to make treats for deserving people! You're a Southerner, Danette... With a candy thermometer, you won't find a much easier recipe for anything! Give it a go!
They look so official! Great to have a series of shots of fire house experiences with the boys! Now the situation that got you there was quite scary and traumatic! Wishing her a speedy recovery. You always follow up with such kind gestures!
I bet the boys were thrilled. Such a cute shot.... the fire hat, the Crocs, flip-flops, oh, and the boys expressions. Fun time. How is your friend doing?
Super capture, one to treasure. I always wanted to visit a fire station when I was their age but never had the opportunity. I doubt I would be allowed now to sit like they are! What a thoughtful gesture to take some treats as a thank you.
Firstly that was so thoughtful to bring treats to the fire station for there help. I love the series of fire truck pictures you've been collecting with your grandsons. So adorable!
